Speaker

Learning through play, unstructured time, nature and culture for children.

I speak in Romanian and in English, to parents, teachers and the teams that build programmes for children. I always start from what I have seen in practice, not from theory I have read.

Talk topics

  • Learning through play

Why play is not the break between lessons but the form in which young children actually learn — and what we lose when we turn it into an activity with objectives.

  • Unstructured time

What happens inside a child during the hours with nothing scheduled, why those hours frighten us as adults, and how to protect them without it looking like neglect.

  • Outdoor education and forest school

What a forest school session actually looks like, the role real risk plays, and why returning to the same place matters more than the place itself.

  • Culture for children

How to bring art, music and cultural events to children without turning them into homework — and what a cultural programme genuinely addressed to them looks like.

  • Ocean, nature and conservation

What working with sea turtles at a conservation centre in Thailand taught me about patience, unglamorous work and very long timescales.

Formats

  • Keynote

    30–45 minutes

One topic, one argument, examples from the field. Suited to conferences, education events and parent evenings.

  • Workshop

90 minutes to half a day

A working format with exercises and discussion. For teams of educators, NGOs and organisers of children’s programmes.

  • Panel / moderation

    as the programme allows

Taking part in a discussion on education, culture or the environment — or moderating one.

Fees and travel terms are set out in the written proposal according to format, duration and location.
